gnome-default-applications-properties?
If so, please make sure the execution flag is set to '-x' (and not -c)
when using gnome-terminal (sorry, I do not know what it can be for
terminator).

Nothing takes place, when I click to open a terminal in a folder. I
tried with gnome-terminal and terminator as default terminal.

I guess you use the custom terminal emulator field intried with gnome-terminal and terminator as default terminal.
