Dear Matthias,
This seems like a nice thing to have in debian. Do you need any help with
rust packaging ? From a first glance it doesn't look like there's that much
missing. itertools and logos look like a good starting point.
I would receive such help gratefully! I'll join the IRC channel as per
your suggestion.

Many thanks,

Sebastian

Hi Sebastian,

Package: wnpp
Severity: wishlist
* Package name : texlab
Are you still working on this? It'd be nice to have this in Debian.
Otherwise, if you're not working on texlab packaging anymore, this
should be converted to an RFP.

Please let me know! Bye :)

Yes, I was still intending to package this, but thank you for the
reminder! If you were also interested in packaging it, would you like
to co-maintain it with me? I'd be more than happy to join a Jitsi/IRC
chat so we could divvy up the dependencies that need to be packaged.

Best wishes,

Sebastian

I'd love this to be packaged, but my Rust packaging skills are a bit
lacking (i.e. I have no idea how Debian packages Rust stuff, nor how
Cargo really works). Still, I could sponsor your upload if you need to,
just let me know when you'd like for your work to be reviewed :)

Hi all,

there isn't much missing. $cargo debstatus tells me there is only
unidecode and human-name (plus rdeps) missing. Sebastian, are you still
working on this ? I can help getting the remaining packages into Debian.

best,

Just had a stab at getting texlab to build. Still need human_name (+2
rdeps); then it should build (I think).
Sebastian, would you mind if i took this over ?
It's too late for trixie, but I would loce to see this in forky.

Control: owner -1 !
Control: retitle -1 ITP: texlab -- latex language server
Hi,

having had no response from the owner I am claiming this ITP since I
made significant contributions to it (rust-logos*, rust-isocountry,
...).
texlab builds for me locally and I will upload this to experimental
soon.

Sebastian is welcome as co-uploader.

best,

werdahias

Well done for your progress on building it! Please do take it over -
regretfully I have so little time for Debian at the moment. I apologize
if my tardiness in responding contributed to this package missing the
trixie deadline; I also hope it can get into forky.
Hi,
no worries :)
The package is mostly ready now. I'm not sure if I should improve the
documentation somehow (right now it only ships usr/bin/texlab).
It's indeed to late for trixie, but in forky I need to update all
rust-notify reverse deps before it can go to unstable.
Help with that would be much appreciated.

best,

werdahias
