Package: kexec-tools
Version: 1:2.0.27-1.2
Severity: serious
User: ***@debian.org
Usertags: dep17p3
Control: affects -1 + bfh-container molly-guard progress-linux-container
X-Debbugs-Cc: ***@debian.org

coldreboot is being moved from /bin to /usr/bin. Unfortunately,
bfh-container, molly-guard and progress-linux-container divert this
location causing problems.

I think we need the same (or similar) dance as with systemd-sysv. Each
of those packages needs to install mitigations and kexec-tools needs
versioned conflicts with unfixed versions of those.

Arguably, combining bfh-container or progress-linux-container with
kexec-tools is not a reasonable thing to do. In those cases, unversioned
conflicts may be applicable though they are not technically policy
compliant.

This bug serves as a migration blocker and helps apt-listbugs users with
not loosing their files.

Dear maintainer,

I've prepared an NMU for kexec-tools (versioned as 1:2.0.27-1.3) and
uploaded it to DELAYED/5. Please feel free to tell me if I
should delay it longer.

Regards.

Given I'm fixing my own NMU, I've rescheduled to immediate per
another DD's advice.

Sorry if that's surprising.
